You’ll create and manage construction programmes, support project teams, and set up a high-performing planning team. Key Responsibilities
Lead the growth of the Planning Department.
Develop robust tender programmes and method statements where the business is tendering for development opportunities, or evaluation land opportunities.
Prepare Contract and Target programmes for each development
Monitor Target Programmes to mitigate delays.
Ensure full and accurate recording of delays to Main Contract Programmes, maintain and prepare evidence to support extension of time claims.
Monitor and record subcontractor performance against agreed subcontract programmes.
Work with Site Teams to create short term programmes.
Undertake regular site visits to review progress against programme and adjust programme as necessary.
Liaise with commercial and finance teams to forecast project cash flows.
Report to Senior Management on development progress.
Prepare and integrate design & procurement programmes into master development programme and work with technical and commercial teams to ensure delivery in accordance with construction activities.
Develop and maintain Design & Pre Construction Development Delivery Reports for discussion with the allocated delivery team.
Skills knowledge and aptitude
Strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data to facilitate increased speed of delivery
Strong IT skills and an excellent knowledge and competency with Asta programming software
Articulate, clear and credible, and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Able to work on own initiative, with the drive to take ownership of projects
Team player, and supportive of colleagues
Ability to read and interpret design drawings & extract information as necessary
